Jonathan Bloxham (CBSO) will conduct the young musicians in a thrilling programme of music. We’re very excited to announce that the orchestra will also be joined by pianist and BBC Young Musician of the Year 2014 winner, Martin James Bartlett, for the performance of Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue. Being a member of the orchestra for several years was hugely influential on my early musical development - in fact, it's safe to say that I don’t think I would have become a musician without NCO. It is also a pleasure to collaborate with my great friend Martin James Bartlett, another NCO alumni, who I have no doubt will share his pure joy for life and music with both the young performers and audiences.”
