Europe’s largest multi-arts venue, the Barbican Centre, is set to welcome NCO for its final concert of 2016 on Sunday 11 December at 7pm.
The Winter Concert will showcase orchestral brilliance and provide the perfect pre-Christmas treat. NCO’s two oldest orchestras – Main and Under 13s – will perform an electrifying repertoire of classical music including Rimsky-Korsakov’s Capriccio Espagnol and movements from Williams’ Star Wars – Suite. We spoke to our young musicians who will be performing on Sunday 11 December about their NCO experience and the upcoming concert - here’s what they had to say:

For many of the young musicians in the Main Orchestra, this concert will be their final NCO event as they “retire” at the end of the year:
