Winter Booking

This weekend, NCO’s Main and Under 13 Orchestras will travel to Croydon for their non-residential winter course. The members will rehearse for two days at Whitgift School - Under 13 Orchestra under the baton of NCO’s Artistic Director and Principal Conductor, Roger Clarkson, and Main Orchestra under the baton of Guest Conductor, Hilary Davan Wetton.

Their rehearsals will culminate in a spectacular performance on Sunday night at Croydon’s Fairfield Halls. Both Orchestras are ready to deliver the performance of a lifetime, and we can’t wait to celebrate the end of the NCO year in style.

Our incredible young musicians will perform an electrifying repertoire of classics, including two traditional carols to bring in the Christmas cheer.

Under 13 Orchestra:

Conducted by Roger Clarkson

  • REED (ARR. J. BRYANT) - Armenian Dances
  • carol - O Come, All Ye Faithful
  • CURTIS - Movements from Ballet Suite
  • carol - Hark! The Herald Angels Sing
  • STRAVINSKY (ARR. ISAAC) - 'Berceuse' and 'Finale' from Firebird Suite

Patrons of Fairfield Halls can gain discount on their parking by using the NCP car park – located next door to the concert venue. Patrons should present their car parking ticket at the box office or the cloakroom either before or after the concert.

With 219 incredibly talented young musicians all aged 14 and under, this really is going to be a night to remember! Our members can’t wait to perform:

I’ve had a great time in the NCO and I’m really pleased that we’ll be at my home town in December. I hope to welcome lots of friends and family to support us and enjoy our final concert.

William Albuquerque, Under 13 Orchestra.

We hope to see lots of you in the audience this Sunday.
