NCO was the brainchild of the late Vivienne Price, MBE. Over 40 years she provided the vision and guidance that made NCO the remarkable organisation it is today, in the process nurturing the musical development of generations of young musicians.

We have established a Vivienne Price Memorial Fund so that Vivienne’s ethos of music for all young people can be maintained.

The Vivienne Price Memorial Fund will be distributed over time at the discretion of the Artistic and Educational Director towards scholarships for children who might not otherwise be able to take up their places, an annual prize to a member of Under 13 Orchestra, and the purchase of musical equipment for the general benefit of current and future members of NCO orchestras.

The easiest way to contribute to the Vivienne Price Memorial Fund is to send a cheque made out to ‘National Children’s Orchestras’ and write the words ‘Memorial Fund’ on the reverse of the cheque. Please send it to us at the office address.
