Taking part

Auditions for 2012 have now opened.  For your chance to be part of Great Britain's exciting orchestral experience for children read on...

Every year the NCO tours the country to audition promising young musicians for our Orchestras. Auditions take place in October and successful candidates are then invited to the courses and concerts during the following year. Membership is for one year, after which children may audition again if they are still young enough.

Our audition process for 2012 membership has now opened.  You can find out everything you need to know about venueswhat to expect and more in this 'taking part' section of our website.

Read our audition leaflet to find out more.

Download an application form to book your place.

Places for auditions are awarded on a first come first served basis, so we recommend you send your application in as soon as possible.

Current NCO members should note that our date for eligibility has changed.  You are eligible to apply for 2012 membership if you are aged 7-13 (inclusive) on 31 December 2011.
