Children's Challenge
Are you up to the challenge of raising £40 for Great Britain's leading orchestral training ground for children? The NCO needs you!
One of the key factors for raising money from funders is to demonstrate that the NCO has a significant impact on young musicians and audiences. If young people are passionate enough about their NCO experience to fundraise so that other young people can also participate, then that really shows the importance of the NCO and can help us to unlock further funding.
We have recently been set a challenge by a donor, who has said that they will match every pound raised by NCO musicians. In 2011 we are hoping to raise £20,000 through this challenge. As a rough idea , if each child was able to raise £40 then this would enable us to reach the £20,000 target. So, if you are an NCO musician, it would be really fantastic if you could help us. You'll receive a certificate to show you have taken part in the challenge, and if you raise £40 or more we'll send you a badge too.
You can raise money in any way that you like, either on your own or by clubbing together with some friends to raise more. We have plenty of exciting ideas and tips to help you, you can download the complete fundraising pack here.
