Next week NCO will launch its new legacy fundraising scheme, ‘The 1978 Association’. The scheme is named to commemorate the year in which NCO’s Founding Patron, the late Vivienne Price MBE, founded this remarkable organisation.

The 1978 Association has been created to acknowledge the generosity of alumni, their families and supporters everywhere, who indicate that they would like to support the future of NCO by leaving a gift in their Will.

Once you have looked after your family and loved ones in your Will, a gift to NCO is a wonderful way to remember a cause you care about - a unique charity that continues to transform the musical lives of so very many children.

The 1978 Association launch date will fall on the first day of Remember a Charity Week - an annual awareness week designed to encourage more people to consider leaving a gift to charity when writing a Will. Remember a Charity works with over 150 charities, including NCO to highlight the importance of making a Will, and also the huge benefit that legacy gifts to charities can bring by helping them towards a more financially secure future.

This year’s Remember a Charity Week takes place from 12-18 September 2016. 7.3% per cent of the UK population have already left a gift to charity in their Will, and it is estimated that a 4% increase would raise a further £1 billion for good causes every year*.

If you would like to consider remembering NCO in your Will or if you are interested in learning more about the 1978 Association, please visit our legacies webpage today.
