Orchestras

The NCO has five national age-banded orchestras, open to children from 7-13 years old. Membership is on an annual basis, with auditions taking place in October each year.To find out more please visit the Taking Part section of our website.

We also have four regional orchestras, one in the South East, one in the South West, one in the East and one in the North. These are open to current members of the national orchestras and members from last year's national orchestras. They provide an extra opportunity for the children to rehearse in addition to the residential courses. They are also beneficial as they mean children can get to know other NCO members, making the prospect of a residential course away from home seem less daunting.
