It’s the moment you’ve all been waiting for. Auditions for 2011 are now open!
The NCO office was a hive of activity yesterday as boxes of crisp, colourful audition forms arrived, ready to be sent out to eager young musicians throughout the country.
We are looking for the very best young musical talent the UK has to offer, to audition this October for a place in one of our five age-banded orchestras.
The NCO offers talented young children a life-changing experience – meeting like-minded people and being guided by top professional musicians. Our Access2Orchestra project which ran earlier this year aimed to give promising youngsters a taste of that experience.
“I would just like to say thank you so much for a wonderful day” said one grateful parent after an Access2Orchestra day, “I knew my daughter would love it but I wasn't prepared for the effect it had on my son. He couldn't stop smiling through the concert and I have never seen him as animated about his viola! You have obviously ignited something inside him and they are both very keen to earn a place in the Orchestra.”
